To advise the Board of Selectmen on cable TV issues, negotiate with service providers, communicate with cable service providers, and ensure that interests of the town of Ayer are represented.

Verizon's FIOS buildout in Ayer has been delayed, primarily by the December ice storm.
We do expect to begin negotiations with them soon, which is necessary to establish the details of their CATV franchise here in Ayer.
The committee is guessing that its going to be at least 6 months from now before the service will be available to the town.
