The town of Ayer joins Freedoms Way's "Hidden Treasures 2017" on Saturday, May 13, 2017 with the downtown Ayer "Treasures of Architectural History" walking tour at 1:00p.m. from the Town Hall. Doors will open at noon.

Join longtime Urban Heritage Guide & Ayer Director Of Community & Economic Development, Alan S. Manoian, for a fascinating, enlightening, informative, and entertaining walk along the
historic streets of Downtown Ayer, Massachusetts. Downtown Ayer is an authentic treasure-house graced with wonderful historic architectural styles including Greek-Revival, Italianate, Gothic-Revival, French Second Empire Mansard, Neo-Classical, Colonial Revival, International-Moderne, and more! 

The “Downtown Ayer Treasures of Architectural History Walking Tour” will provide you and your family a memorable opportunity to stroll, experience, and see Downtown Ayer as a truly
special New England Heritage tourism destination place.

The Hidden Treasures events are presented from May 1 thru May 31, 2017, and will feature dozens of free, fun, and creative activities for intergenerational audiences that explore the history, culture, and nature of the 45 communities in the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, home to over 750,000 people.  Freedom's Way’s sponsorship of Hidden Treasures Weekend connects the people, places, and communities of the Heritage Area in order to protect and promote our shared resources and to encourage residents and visitors to explore our landscape, history, and culture.
