IMPORTANT NOTICE - East Main Street

On Wednesday July 27, the contractor installing the new water main on East Main Street will be installing water services across the street, resulting in traffic delays in both directions. Local traffic ( no trucks!) will be detoured around the work onto Fletcher Street. Signs and police officers will be in place to direct traffic. Trucks must stay on East Main and proceed when directed by the police detail.
Please seek alternate routes on Sandy Pond Road and Central Ave. to avoid the delays.
The Ayer DPW apologizes for any inconvenience this creates. Please drive slowly through the detour areas.
