Traffic/Pedestrian Advisory - Main Street

National Grid will be working this Saturday, June 25 from 0800-1600 on Main Street replacing 2 gas lines and moving relief valves from inside buildings to outside.  The locations are roughly at #9 (in front of the Flat Bread near the hydrant) and #25 ( in between Century Carpet and UCR but closer to Century).  The sidewalk at both locations will be trenched across the entire distance to approximately 3 feet into the roadway.  Parking on the north side of the street in this area will be consumed with construction vehicles.  Parking on the South side of the street cannot be allowed to allow the flow of 2 way traffic.

Ayer Police will have 2 detail officers on sight to assist with traffic and pedestrians.  While no business will have to be closed, parking for the day will obviously be affected.
