Disputes: YOU MUST CALL (978) 772-8220 WITH ALL TICKET INFORMATION OR BRING IN TICKET TO REQUEST A HEARING-Hearings are conducted on the last Thursday of each month at 10:00a.m. at the Ayer Town Hall, 1st Floor Meeting Room. You must request a Hearing no later than one (1) week prior to appearing.

Birth certificate
To receive a certified copy of a birth certificate, send the request w/stamped self addressed envelope and $5.00 to:

You can download a residential building permit or pick one up at the Building department's office in town hall.

You may obtain dog licenses at the Town Clerks Office - Be sure to bring along an updated rabies certificate.

Transfer station permit
You can get a vehicle sticker either at the DPW during normal business hours or you can mail a copy of your vehicle registration, along with a check and a self addressed stamped envelope to the DPW. They will mail you your new sticker. The DPW can not mail bag tags.
