LED Street & Outdoor Lighting Installation
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) on behalf of the municipalities of Ayer, Beverly, Holbrook, Wayland & Winchendon (the Cities), invites bids for the installation of roughly 6,447 streetlights. IFB information packets will be available starting 11:00 am, on September 28, 2017 by contacting Cara Goodman at cgoodman@mapc.org. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply to all services. Bid deposits are required. Sealed bids will be opened on Thursday October 26, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Metropolitan Area Planning Council, 6th floor - MAPC offices, 60 Temple Place, Boston, MA 02111. WRIGHT ROAD CROSS-COUNTRY WATER MAIN (CLOSED)
The Town of Ayer DPW is seeking bids for the "Wright Road Cross-Country Water Main" project.
Sealed Bids for the General Contract will be received from General Contractors for construction of the Wright Road Cross-Country Water Main at the Ayer Department of Public Works Office, 25 Brook Street, Ayer, MA 01432 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday August 23, 2017 and at that time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work involves water main installation by open excavation and horizontal directional drilling between Wright Road and Sandy Pond Road. The time for completion of this contract is 75 calendar days.
The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M.
Water Division Valve Maintenance Trailer (CLOSED)
The Town of Ayer is accepting sealed bids for Water Division Valve Maintenance Trailer. The valve maintenance trailer shall include a swivel-mounted valve exerciser, extended reach valve exerciser, wireless handheld computer / controller / data logger with GPS, vacuum with spoils tank and hydraulic dump system.

The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Each General Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid.

Solar Photovoltaic Projects At Town Owned Locations (CLOSED)
The Town of Ayer seeks proposals, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, §16, Real Property Disposition, from solar energy developers (“Respondents”) to:
- Lease land at the Primary, Secondary and Additional locations, hereinafter referred to as “Locations”, identified below pursuant to a Lease Agreement a form of which is included in this RFP, and install, own, operate and maintain thereon a solar photovoltaic energy system(s) (“Solar Energy Systems” or “Systems”).
- Primary location Closed Town Landfill located at 100 Groton Harvard Road
- Secondary location Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Landfill and adjoining properties located at the end of Brook Street
- Additional locations -‐ Other Town-‐owned open land as identified by the Respondent.
It is the desire of the Town to site Solar Energy Systems for the benefit of the Town and the environment. This Request for Proposals is being issued to allow the Town to evaluate options and determine the projects and financial arrangements that best meet the Town’s interest. The Town is interested in receiving proposals for the Primary and Secondary locations, and will consider proposals for additional locations as identified by the Respondent. The Town notes that it is not seeking proposals for solar energy generation or net metering. Proposals must be received by October 19, 2016 at 1:00PM
