Early In-Person Voting for the November 3, 2020 General Election

The Town of Ayer will be offering early in-person voting for the November 3, 2020 General Election as follows:

  • Saturday, Oct 17 9am – 1pm
  • Sunday, Oct 18 9am – 1pm

  • Wednesday, Oct 21 8am – 4pm
  • Thursday, Oct 22 8am – 4pm
  • Friday, Oct 23 8am – 1pm
  • Saturday, Oct 24 9am – 1pm
  • Sunday, Oct 25 9am – 1pm
  • Monday, Oct 26 8am – 4pm
  • Tuesday, Oct 27 8am – 7pm
  • Wednesday, Oct 28 8am – 4pm
  • Thursday, Oct 29 8am – 4pm
  • Friday, Oct 30 8am – 1pm

All voter registration forms must be returned by October 24 at 8pm

Vote by mail applications must be received by Wednesday, October 28 at 5pm

Deadline to vote absentee Ballot in person at the Town Clerk's office - November 2 at 12pm

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the Town of Ayer would like to provide the following guidance for the safety and health of the public and election workers.  Your attention and cooperation with these election guidelines is greatly appreciated:

  • The Ayer Town Hall will be open to the public for the purposes of early in-person voting only.
  • All early in-person voting will take place in the First Floor Meeting Room of the Ayer Town Hall with voters entering and exiting through the Columbia Street entrance of Town Hall only.  Except for voting in the First Floor Meeting Room, public access to the rest of Town Hall remains closed. 
  • For the safety and health of Town Hall Employees and the Publics, all Town Hall Offices will be closed to the public during the days/times above (employees will be working but there will be no public access). Town Clerk’s office will be closed as well.
  • To ensure safe, early in-person voting, the Town has implemented a plan of social distancing and sanitization.  All early in-person voters are respectfully requested to wear a mask pursuant to the State’s Mask/Face Covering Order while voting.  (Masks will be available)
  • All voters are respectfully requested to exit the Town Hall promptly after voting (no socializing/waiting).
  • All Federal and State laws and regulations governing an election remain in effect.
  • All voters are asked to be respectful and cooperative with all Election Personnel and each other.  Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated!
