On July 12, 2022, the State Drought Task Force continues to consider our geographical area in a state of Significant Drought.

As of July 1, 2022, we are 4.79” precipitation deficit for the year compared to the 30-year average.July 2022 Drought Update

Times like this serves as a reminder to how valuable this essential resource is and how important it is to our community’s safety, hygiene, and economic success.

What will the Town do?

  • Suspend Automatic Sprinkler Systems on public property
  • Suspend Variance Application approvals for new lawn installations
  • Suspend the Flushing Program

What can the Public do?

  • Voluntarily suspend automatic sprinkler systems except in zones used to grow food
  • Consider different ways to reduce water waste in your own homes and businesses.
