Main Street Paving
Sunday Night April 5 and Wednesday April 8
The Ayer DPW will be paving Main Street from Columbia Street to Park Street beginning on Sunday night April 5th and finishing (weather permitting) on Wednesday April 8. The work will require closing of one lane and traffic delays .No parking will be allowed on Main Street during work hours. Work schedule is as follows:
Sunday April 5th - Starting at 7:00 pm, we will be milling (removing) 1 ½ inches of pavement. This should be completed before morning traffic. There will be raised castings (manhole covers and drains) until final paving is completed.
Tuesday April 7th - We will be repairing and adjusting some of the catch basins and sewer manholes and water gate boxes as needed.
Wednesday April 8th - Weather permitting will be doing the paving starting at 7:00am until competed.
Seek alternative routes. Police details will be onsite to direct traffic.
During construction, there will be varying road conditions. Please travel with caution.
