PFAS in Drinking Water

Health protective limits for these chemicals in drinking water.

The Town of Ayer Drinking water has discovered an unregulated chemical in our water.  The Ayer Department of Public Works is actively involved in minimizing the amount of the PFAS chemicals in our water including construction of a multi-million dollar treatment system.  For more information of the status of the PFAS in Ayer's water and the Town's actions, click here.

If you have water quality complaints, contact the DPW (978-772-8240). We will investigate, flush the main in your neighborhood and track the problem areas in Town.
