Proposed Ayer Zoning ByLaw
The Town of Ayer is updating its Zoning Bylaw, which is the blueprint that guides and regulates development in town. The Zoning Bylaw describes what land-uses, whether residential, commercial, industrial or institutional, which are allowed or prohibited in each zoning district. The Bylaw also describes the process by which land-use proposals are reviewed and approved by the Planning Board or the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on the Zoning Bylaw, as well as a proposed bylaw section governing the placement of solar energy systems, on February 15, 2018 at 6:15 pm in the Selectmen’s Meeting room at the Ayer Town Hall. Both the general Zoning Bylaw and the Solar Energy Systems section will be presented and voted on at a Special Town Meeting to be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Ayer-Shirley Regional High School.
