Sandy Pond Beach

The Parks Department has decided to postpone the opening of Sandy Pond Beach based on recommendations from medical professionals, state legislators and our own concern for the wellbeing of our community and staff. As school has been cancelled for the rest of the year we do not feel that it is appropriate to open prior to at least June 12^th, which would have been the final day of the school calendar. Since Sandy Pond has a high volume of visitors, we feel that this is the safest possible resolution at this time.

We have begun the process of writing policy for when it is deemed safe to open and whether this will include limited hours and/or limited accessibility to the beach and park and limiting the number of people in the park/beach at any one time.
