Vacancy on Conservation Commission

The Ayer Conservation Commission now has an opening for a new commissioner and is looking for residents who may be interested in applying!  We meet twice a month, generally on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.  Periodically we schedule site walks on Saturday mornings.  Attendance at MACC (Mass. Assoc. of Conservation Commissions) spring and fall one-day conferences is paid for by the Commission and provides excellent training and education for conservation-related topics. Interested applicants must submit a letter of intent and resume to the Town Manager.  While the Commission interviews all candidates, the Board of Selectmen is the appointing authority.  Please contact the Conservation office, at concom@ayer.ma.us or at 978-772-8249, for more information, or check our Town website – and feel free to attend any of our meetings to observe our proceedings!  Upcoming meeting dates are August 23, September 6 and September 27.
