Westford Road Water and Sewer Replacement

Construction Update

The Town of Ayer DPW is replacing water and sewer utilities on Westford Road between the intersection of Willow Road/Sandy Pond Road and approximately 19 Westford Road, see image below showing approximate project limits.

Work Anticipated during the weeks of June 13th and June 20th:

• Work will commence the week of June 13th and will be conducted daily between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
• The Contractor will be mobilizing equipment, cutting pavement to prepare for trench excavation, setting up a temporary bypass water main, and beginning sewer and water utility installation.

One-lane of alternating traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. The road will be fully opened at the end of each workday.

Please use caution as there will be varying road conditions. Paving of trenches will occur on Friday’s. Police detail officers will be onsite as required to direct traffic. Traffic control and parking restrictions will change as the project progresses and future notifications will be distributed.
