Gaga Ball

Gaga Ball
  • The Ayer Parks Department is pleased to present the Ayer Gaga Ball League program. The program will be managed by Kevin Malantic and is open to players ages 8-14 and is available to Ayer residents or those who attend the Ayer-Shirley Regional School District.  The registration fee is $20 for the spring season and games will be twice a week for 4 weeks.  Dates will be from late July through mid August.
Frequently Asked Questions:

Are the age limits strictly enforced, or can players be older or younger than the 8-14 range?

Yes, age limits are strictly enforced.

Is the program open to all genders?

Yes, absolutely. All teams are mixed and structured based on skill, which is determined during the first day of open play.

Do the younger and older players play together?

To some extent, yes. Depending on registrations, we will group the age 8-10 kids together and the 11-14 kids together. This will provide more balanced competition between teams.

Is it OK if you have never played before?

Sure. Gaga ball is not a complicated game and players of all levels will have an opportunity to play.

What equipment or uniform is required?

Please wear athletic apparel such as a T-shirt, shorts or sweatpants and sneakers.  Once teams are formed, we will distribute team uniform shirts based on the color they choose.

Will there be any COVID precautions as requirements for the program?

We will be following all requirements outlined by federal, state, local and school authorities.  As this information changes frequently, we will be updating parents and players on this before and during the season.

Will there be a league for players older than 14 years old?

We are currently considering having a bracketed open tournament for adults. We will provide more details during the season.

If you have any questions about the program, feel free to contact the Ayer Parks Department.

Thank you,
