Green Communities Grant Award

The Town of Ayer was awarded a Green Community Grant today for $217,046. Ayer's 2016 Competitive Grant award will be used to fund the following energy conservation measures: a town wide LED streetlight conversion; installation of a variable frequency drive on Spectacle Pond Well 1 pump; and interior and/or exterior lighting upgrades at the Fire Station, DPW Office/ Garage and the Grove Pond Water Treatment Plant.
Thanks to Dan VanSchalkwyk, Ayer Town Engineer, for his hard work in putting this grant application together. These projects will continue to allow Ayer to reduce energy and save money.
