The Town of Ayer offers online bill payment through Unipay Gold. Payments may be made via ACH (electronic checking) or by Credit Card. There is a fee for this service.

What is online payment?
Online payment is a voluntary use fee based system designed as a convenience to Ayer taxpayers for payment of real estate and personal property tax bills, which are currently due.
How do I pay online?
Pay by ACH electronic transfer or credit/debit cards.
Are there any fees?
Yes. By using this voluntary service, the user acknowledges by his free act and deed that he will pay all fees for each tax bill payment transaction.

What are the fees?
ACH (ELECTRONIC TRANSFER): Pay directly from your Checking or Savings Account. Each bill paid is considered a separate transaction and a service charge of $0.25 per bill will be processed separately for each payment.
If you have a special account you plan to use, make sure you take these charges into consideration.
CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS: Pay with MasterCard®, Discover®, American Express® and VISA®*.

Are there any tax bill payment due dates and times?
Yes. For fiscal year 2018 real estate and personal property tax bills, the online due dates and times are:
The 1st quarter tax bill is due August 1, 2017, at or before 11:59 PM.
The 2nd quarter tax bill is due November 1, 2017, at or before 11:59 PM.
The 3rd quarter tax bill is due February 1, 2018, at or before 11:59 PM.
The 4th quarter tax bill is due May 1, 2018, at or before 11:59 PM.
Reminder – No tax bills can be paid online after the due date because of fees and interest accruing. Please contact the Tax Collector’s office at 978-772-8209 for payoff amount.
