IMPORTANT – We need your help in conserving water!

June has been an extremely dry month, following a dryer than normal spring. The Town of Ayer’s water supplies, treatments facilities and pumping equipment are working 24/7 to provide the town with a reliable supply of water. However, we need everyone’s help in reducing our daily water demands to keep our supply sustainable.

Please:

  • Follow our water restrictions and don’t water your lawn, wash your car or wash your walkways between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM.
  • If possible, try not to use any outdoor water!
  • Only run the dishwasher and washing machine when full.
  • Don’t run the water when brushing your teeth or shaving.
  • Take shorter showers.
  • Check your toilet for leaks.

Thank you for helping us conserve our  water supply during this dry season. Please pass this information on to your friends and neighbors.

Littleton keeps monthly records of area precipitation. This graph shows that we have been below average every month this year. And we finished last year 14 inches below the average. Combined with this years lack of rain, we need to conserve our water supply. Please limit your outdoor water usage. Thank you.
