Park Street Corridor: Place or Space?

All of Ayer’s Primary Gateway Corridors (Park Street, East Main Street, West Main Street) are ready for a renaissance of functional and contextual building, street, parking, sidewalk, and landscape design development patterns.

Can Ayer’s Park Street Corridor be designed and redeveloped to function more as a drivable, walkable, bike-able, handicap accessible, and attractive “Place”, rather than an auto-centric  line of somewhat unconnected, non-related, and therefore relatively unattractive commercial & residential “Spaces”?

Join Ayer’s Director of Community & Economic Development & Public Realm Design Guide, Alan S. Manoian, for a fascinating, dynamic, and creative Public Walking Tour along Ayer’s Park Street Corridor.  We all drive along Ayer’s Park Street Corridor many times a week; we know how it “looks”. However, to really feel and discover how Ayer’s Park Street Corridor “lives”, we must get out right on the street and walk it with an eye for design.

“Citizen Planner Tourists” meet at the Santander Bank Parking Lot at Main & Park St. at 6:00PM.

Join with us; good walking footwear, drinking water, and cameras are recommended for our first Downtown Ayer WALK-PLAN Design Tour.  For additional info, contact Alan S. Manoian, Dir. of Community & Economic Development at 978.772.8206 and/or amanoian@ayer.ma.us
