Construction Notification - High Street Culvert Replacement Project

August 20, 2018   The Ayer Department of Public Works will be replacing a drainage culvert on High Street between Lincoln Street and Winthrop Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 27th and is anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks, depending upon weather. The work involves pipe replacement, resetting the retaining wall, replacement of two catch basins, and paving of the trench. High Street, between Lincoln Street and Winthrop Ave, will be closed to through traffic but open to the local access for the duration of the project. Detour signage will be setup and maintained. The construction site will be secured with temporary chain link fence at the end of each work day.
