IMPORTANT NOTICE - East Main Street Paving and Sidewalks
Construction Update September 29, 2020
The East Main Street Road Reconstruction Project will begin construction on Monday October 5 and construction will continue through next summer. This project is being funded through the MassDOT Transportation Improvement Program. The work includes new drainage, curbing, sidewalks, repaving the road and landscape and streetscape improvements. Limits of work are from the Main Street Bridge to Harvard Road.
Work this fall will include installation of the new drainage system. There will be traffic delays and possible detours. Seek alternative routes. Police details will be onsite to direct traffic.
During construction, there will be varying road conditions. Please travel with caution.
This project is being managed by MassDOT, however the Ayer DPW will be providing weekly updates to provide work status and traffic impacts.
