Excise Tax Due July 6, 2021

Motor vehicle excise tax bills were mailed June 3,2021 and have a due date of July 6, 2021.  Anyone who had a registered vehicle as of January 1,2021 and has not received a bill yet should receive a bill for 2021 in this mailing.

Things to Know:

• If you have newly registered a vehicle during the last months of 2020, you should receive a partial bill for 2020 in addition to a bill for 2021.
• If you have recently bought, sold, or purchased a lease, this will generate another Excise Tax bill.
• If you no longer have the vehicle and would like the bill abated, please contact the Assessors’ office. They can be reached at jguthrie@ayer.ma.us  or 978-772-8220 Extension 140.
