MBTA Commuter Rail Schedules Effective October 29, 2018

The MBTA has announced the following commuter rail schedules effective October 29, 2018 for the Fitchburg Line. These changes are designed to utilize new or improved track infrastructure, eliminate freight conflicts, and minimize train traffic that can cause congestion and delays. Commuter rail schedules are adjusted twice a year, spring and fall, to meet changing passenger needs, reflect investments and upgrades to the system and further improve on-time performance (OTP).
Below are changes that are over 5 minutes (peak trains highlighted in bold):
Fitchburg Line
- #401 (outbound 6:25am from North Station) and #410 (inbound 8:00am from Wachusett) – Depart 10 minutes later at 6:35am and 8:10am)
- #406 (inbound 6:45am from Wachusett) – Departs 5 minutes earlier at 6:40am
- #419 (outbound 5:00pm from North Station) – Departs 5 minutes later at 5:05pm
