Memorial Day 2022

American Legion Post 139, Ayer will host the annual Memorial Day Parade. The timeline for the parade and other Memorial Day events is as follows:Memorial Day

Cemetery Flagging: will be held on Saturday, May 21. Meeting time will be 09:00am at Woodlawn Cemetery, Harvard Road (near the Rotary). Flaggers will immediately proceed to St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6 Bishop Road, and complete flagging operation. All volunteers welcomed!

On Saturday, May 28, Parade Day:  Honors will first be rendered at each cemetery on Saturday May 28 at 08:00a: All participants will assemble at Woodlawn Cemetery, Harvard Rd, Ayer at 07:45a with the following participants present: Military Firing Detail, Post 139 Color Guard w/Refile Bearers, ASRHS trumpeters. All participants will then proceed to St. Mary’s Cemetery and repeat the rendering of Honors. Public is welcomed to attend

We will then all assemble at the Public Works Dept, 25 Brook St, Ayer  for at 10:00am start of the parade.
