Pond & Boat

September 28, 2023

A reminder that on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 6:00 PM, the Ayer Department of Public Works (DPW) will host a public input and informational meeting related to a feasibility study for public access to Flannagan Pond. The meeting will be held in the Select Board meeting room on the first floor of Town Hall and will include a presentation, followed by questions and input from meeting attendees. Here’s some more information about the Study.

The Study is funded by Community Preservation Act (CPA) Funds. The general goal of the Study is to provide public access to Flannagan Pond for activities such as passive viewing, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. The public access site will be designed to meet all regulatory standards, including requirements for ADA accessibility, parking/access design, stormwater design, etc. We will provide a presentation of the work completed to date and ask for your input. Public Input is needed so please come and learn about the Study and share your thoughts!

The DPW appreciates your questions and input for this project. If you have questions, please call DPW at 978-772-8240 (7:30 to 3:30) or email dvanschalkwyk@ayer.ma.us
