REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

FOR THE ACQUISITION BY PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY TO BE USED FOR

COUNCIL ON AGING AND SENIOR CENTER

The Town of Ayer (hereinafter "the Town"), seeks to acquire by purchase, land to be used as a senior center.

Request for Proposal documents may be obtained via on the Town's website at www.ayer.ma.us/bids or via email to cantonellis@ayer.ma.us (978-772-8220 x 100), located at Ayer Town Hall /1 Main Street / Ayer MA 01432.

The property must be located in the Town of Ayer and eligible for acquisition by the Town of Ayer, with a location conveniently accessible to seniors preferred. The property shall consist of at least 1.5 – 2.0 acres minimum (2-4 acres preferred), and be able to accommodate an approximately 10,000 -15,000 net usable square feet, and approximately 75 parking spaces adjacent to the structure. The building will house the Council on Aging offices as well as the Senior Center.

Submission of Proposals: Interested parties are invited to deliver five (5) copies of proposals to the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, at the above address, no later than Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. All proposals shall be sealed and addressed to the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, and shall be marked:

The Town reserves the right to amend this proposal at any time, prior to the deadline for submission of proposals, and to reject any and all proposals received, if it determines it to be in the best interest of the Town. It is the intent of the Town to seek Town Meeting approval by the end of 2024 to purchase the property and, therefore, any action will be contingent on receiving such approval. The Town reserves the right to waive minor informalities.
