Water Ban Notice

IMPORTANT NOTICE- OUTDOOR WATER BAN

Due to the extreme drought condition, We would like to remind the residents and businesses of Ayer to conserve water. There is an outdoor water use ban in effect until further notice. This means that ALL non-essential outdoor water use is banned. Based on State and local regulations, outdoor water  should be limited to uses that are required:

1. for health or safety reasons;
2. by regulation;
3. for the production of food and fiber;
4. for the maintenance of livestock; or
5. to meet the core functions of a business

While use of hand held hoses and watering cans is allowed, please try to minimize the amount you use.

The DPW is enforcing the ban and  will issue violation notices.
