Article 27

In preparation for the Annual Town Meeting on April 22, 2024, at 7pm in the Ayer Shirley Regional High School Auditorium, the Town will be publishing the “Articles of the Day” to provide further information on each of the Town Meeting Warrant Articles.  Each day, the Town will feature two to four Town Meeting Warrant Articles with a brief summary explanation of each Article.

Article 27:  Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Amendment to Table of Use Regulations – Zoning Districts:   This Article would amend the Ayer Zoning Bylaw Section 5.2 Table of Use Regulations as indicated in the table in the Article above.  This Article will allow for more diverse types of housing to be built in the Town of Ayer.  It will increase the amount of inventory and diverse housing stock within the Town of Ayer which will lead to more affordable units over time.  The Planning Board held a Public Hearing on March 12, 2024 and issued a positive recommendation.  Planning Board to report at Town Meeting.
