Public Announcement - Street Tree Management Plan

The Ayer DPW is developing a street tree management plan for the Town. This plan is partially funded through a grant from MA Division of Conservation and Recreation. Our consultant, Davey Resource Group will be working in Town for the next 5 weeks completing a tree inventory of Town street trees. They will be walking through all of Ayer’s neighborhoods and streets collecting data. The representatives will wear hi-viz safety clothing and will be collecting data on tablet computers. They will not be entering private property. Vehicles will have the company name on the door and will be parked on the street in the areas that they are working.

The goal of this project is to identify hazard trees, tree maintenance requirements and develop a planting plan for new trees.
