Dear All Town of Ayer Employees,

Greetings and good morning.  I hope that this email finds you all well and that you had a happy Thanksgiving.

Please be advised that as of Friday, November 27, 2020, Vermont was removed as a low risk state from the State’s Travel Ban.  Therefore, the “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy” (which remains in effect and is attached to this email) will be updated accordingly.  At this time, this leaves only Massachusetts and Hawaii on the low risk state list.  For more information regarding the Massachusetts Travel Ban, please go to the following link:  https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order#lower-risk-states-

Travel Policy Update #1
November 16, 2020

Dear All Town of Ayer Employees,

Greetings and good morning.  I hope that this email finds you all well.

As we are moving into the holiday season and as COVID-19 positive cases continue to increase across the Nation, Massachusetts, and in our Region; I wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you of the “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy” which was issued on July 30, 2020 and took effect on August 1, 2020 (See attached “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy”).

This “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy” remains in effect and all Employees are required to adhere to it.

Additionally, as of November 13, 2020, per the Massachusetts Travel Ban, the following are the only lower risk states:  Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Hawaii.  All other States at this time are classified as restricted per the Massachusetts Travel Ban.  If you travel to any of these restricted states, you must adhere to the provisions of the “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy”.  For more information regarding the Massachusetts Travel Ban, please go to the following link:  https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order#lower-risk-states-

We have all done an excellent job over the last eight months in preventing COVID-19 from infecting Town of Ayer Employees.  In addition to following all COVID-19 safety protocols at work, it is imperative that we adhere to them outside of work for the safety of everyone.  This includes the difficult decisions we will need to make to be safe during the holidays and especially with respect to travelling to restricted states.

If you have any questions, regarding the “Ayer Mandatory Travel Policy” please contact your immediate supervisor and/or my Office.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Please stay safe and stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Robert
