Reconstruction of Route 2A / Willow Road Intersection April 28, 2023

MassDOT will be reconstructing the intersection of Route 2A and Willow Road beginning in May. The initial work will involve tree removal and relocation of utility poles. The project scope also includes new drainage around the intersection and on Willow Road to Bennetts Brook and reconstruction of the intersection with a revised layout.

During the project there will be traffic delays and occasional detours. Police details will be onsite to direct traffic. During detours, there will be signage directing traffic. There will be varying road conditions. Please travel with caution.

This project is owned and managed by MassDOT, however the Ayer DPW will be providing construction updates to provide work status and traffic impacts for the Town.
