History

The Woodlawn Cemetery was constructed about 1818 as a cemetery for the Town of Groton. When the Town of Ayer was incorporated, the Woodlawn Cemetery was established in 1859. 

The Woodlawn Cemetery is located off Harvard Road on both east and west sides. The cemetery has approximately over 1,000 lots, with approximately 400 on the west side and 750 on the east side. An aerial view of the existing cemetery is shown below.
