BIRCH AND MCDOWELL WATER AND DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS
The Town of Ayer DPW is seeking bids for the "Birch and McDowell Water and Drain Improvements" project.
Sealed Bids for the General Contract will be received from General Contractors for construction of the Birch and McDowell Water and Drain Improvements at the Ayer Department of Public Works Office, 25 Brook Street, Ayer, MA 01432 until Thursday, February 24th, 2022 2:00 PM to the Ayer DPW Drop Box located at the DPW Administrative building at 25 Brook Street and at that time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The scope of this work includes the installation of approximately 870 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron (DI) water main on both Birch and McDowell Streets. The work includes the replacement of water main appurtenances, hydrant assemblies, house service connections, and interconnections with other streets within the limits of work. Leaching catch basins are also proposed to improve the drainage on both Birch and McDowell Streets. The time for completion of this contract is 100 calendar days.
The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders.
Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project.
