The Town of Ayer Department of Public Works (OWNER) will accept SEALED BIDS for the Demolition of Playground and Soil Remediation at Pirone Park.

Pre-Bid Conference (non-mandatory) will be held for this project at the playground at Pirone Park on August 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

Sealed Bids, clearly marked, will be received in the office of the DPW Director, 25 Brook Street, Ayer, MA 01432, any time prior to Thursday September 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The work involves demolition of the existing wooden playground structures, associated footings, and fencing, felling of trees and removal of stumps and removal, protection of remaining trees, excavation (machine and hand/vacuum) and off-site disposal of arsenic-impacted soil, and limited backfilling.

The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders.

Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project.
