PFAS TREATMENT FACILITIES PROJECT NO. DWSRF - 6635 INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids for the General Contract for construction of Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant, PFAS Treatment Facilities will be received by the Town of Ayer, Massachusetts at the office of the Department of Public Works, 25 Brook Street, Ayer, MA 01432 until 2:00 PM, Thursday September 24, 2020 and at that time and placed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Sealed Bids for the filed Sub-Contracts designated herein will be received at the office of the Department of Public Works, 25 Brook Street, Ayer, MA 01432 until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 and at that time and placed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project includes furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required to construct a new PFAS treatment facility capable of treating up to 1.4 million gallons per day when all treatment vessels are operated in series. The facility is an addition to the existing treatment plant and includes concrete work, two granular activated carbon (GAC) vessels, chemical storage and feed equipment, building construction, and associated HYAC, plumbing, electrical and instrumentation and control (SCADA) work. The project also includes land clearing, earthwork, paving, and restoration, and installation of a new standby generator and associated fuel tank. The existing treatment plant will have its roof replaced, generator and associated fuel tank removed.  Well House No. 1, Well No. lA and  associated meter vault will be demolished and site restored.
