ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

The Town of Ayer, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Highway Garage for the Department of Public Works in Ayer, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by William Sloan Associates.

The Project consists of: construction of a new 82’ x 50’ (4000 SF) metal building on a concrete slab foundation for the storage of Public Works vehicles. The work is estimated to cost $650,000.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

General Bids will be received until 1/24/19 at 1:00 pm and publicly opened, forthwith. Filed Sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received until 1/17/19 at 1:00 pm and publicly opened, forthwith.

General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) in the following category of work. General Construction and must submit a current DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement (Form CQ 3).

Filed sub-bidders must be DCAM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement.

A PreSubmission Briefing Session on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The briefing will be conducted at the Ayer Public Works Department at 25 Brook St, Ayer, MA 01432.
